Biodegradable and Compostable poo bags info
Degradation and composting process of our tie handle biodegradable and compostable poo bags
Our biodegradable and compostable poo bags carry the EN13432 European Standard of compostability, this means they have been proved to show that after 3 months composting and sifting through a 2mm sieve that no more than 10% residue remains, that on examination of the resultant compost no negative influence on the composting process is permitted.

Dog fouling
Currently there are approximately 62million* pet dogs in the United Kingdom, producing an estimated 900 tons* of dog poo on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, we are not a united kingdom when it comes to cleaning up after our beloved pet. Local authorities receive an astonishing 5,000 calls* per week relating to dog fouling.
Local authorities provide disposal bins which are emptied on a regular basis but still, some of those less responsible owners, do not use them. Many local authorities are now imposing Fixed Penalty Fines from £40.00, which can increase to £1,000.00 if convicted in court.
Further to this, we have encountered dog poo (which is naturally degradable) in our local area which has been scooped into plastic food bags or nappy sacks (which are not degradable) and left lying on the ground, stuffed down rabbit holes or even thrown up into trees. The question is... Why?
We can report such problems to our Local Authorities' Dog Warden Service and also to websites such as fixmystreet.com who will make reports to the authorities on our behalf.
